One comment from this very committed fan, why? I know the standard reply is ‘well you don’t have to buy them’ and that is true I don’t and probably won’t, but really??? I bought all of the double cd releases 20 yearsish ago with the bonus tracks, and then felt obliged to purchase the 3 fairly recent box sets which all had a fair bit of unreleased stuff on but also cost quite a bit. I guess it all depends on your disposable income as to how much you will buy, but this does seem a release too far. OK they are all brilliant albums, but they have all been released and rereleased several times before! I am not blaming the band at all as I guess it was not their call, but this really is fleecing the fans!
How about some good quality live releases from the tours from down the years, if indeed such recordings exist.
So not only did I originally purchase these albums back in the 80s when they first came out, but I also purchased the 2 CD reissue sets (2000), and the 2 CD reissues of Standing In the Light (2014), World Machine (2007), and Running In The Family (2012).
Guys, how about some NEW music instead? It’s been 11 years since anything at all has been released, and 18 years since the last full studio album.
When if ever will you please come to the US and tour? You are the last on my bucket list of favorites. Been a fan since early days and follow you everywhere on social media. I introduce you to all of my friends when they are in the vehicle with me or show up at my house. Look forward to hearing from you soon.
I want to have Guaranteed on Spotify! Love you guys! Come to Chicago or Nashville or somewhere in reach for a poor yank!
